Note that this item is from the personal collection of Nevart Apikian, who wrote an entertainment column for the Syracuse Post Standard for nearly 50 years. It was acquired from her estate after her passing. Over the past few years, we have auctioned some of the items from her collection, but NOW, we have been consigned 57 excellent items that we are auctioning all at once, in 57 separate auctions! This collection consists of promotional materialthis columnist was sent from studios about movies that were about to open, in order to help her write a more complete review of the movies. In some cases, she was invited to special premieres and publicity events! She was often sent presskits or sets of stills, but often the studio included additional items, some of which were never sent to theaters, and were likely only sent to other columnists. This collection includes sets of stills, presskits, and other items, and all of the sets of stills and presskits come with supplements, and in some cases they have areas underlined or noted on the fronts and some have long handwritten information within by Ms. Apikian, from when she either watched the premiere or conducted interviews with people connected to the movie, in preparation writing her review. For each item, we have noted exactly what is contained in the auction, and we have noted when there are handwritten notes. While we have auctioned sets of stills or presskits from all of these movies before, many of them contain additional items that we have NEVER auctioned before (and may never auction again, given that they were likely only sent to a select group of reviewers).
