A Linenbacked Travel Poster (measures 28" x 42 1/2" [71 x 108 cm]) (Learn More) The Grace Line was a shipping company which was founded in the mid-1800s by the Irish-born Grace brothers. In the 1890s, the company entered the steamship business with a line of freighters running from New York to the South American west coast via the Strait of Magellan. In 1969 Grace decided to exit the shipping business to concentrate on its chemical and diversification ventures. Artist: Carl G. Evers Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some creases, smudges, and scuffs scattered in the image, and some creases, tears, and paper loss around the edges.
