An Original Vintage Promotional Radio Show Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 10 pages) (Learn More) Amos 'n' Andy, the famous 1928 - 1955 comedy radio show (about two African American best friends and their families), starring Charles Correll (as "Andy") and Freeman F. Gosden (as "Amos"). Note that in 1930, there was a movie based on the radio show, with Correll and Gosden playing the lead roles in blackface. In 1943, a TV show version was added and it ran until 1955 (when both the TV and the radio show ended), and of course, being on TV, black actors played the parts. Important Added Info: Note that this was a special premium sent by the Amos 'n' Andy radio show at the end of 1935. It was sent to fans who requested a copy of a script. On the inside front cover, they have a section that is headed "Heah You Is!", telling the "Folkses" that people had been requesting scripts and that for the first time ever, they are sending out a script to those who requested it, and that it is their Christmas episode, and that the people who received it could read along with the show. The interior 12 pages contain the script and the inside back cover has "A History of Amos 'n' Andy".
