Auction History Result 3j316 LOT OF 6 SET REFERENCE PHOTOS '30s cool movie set designs with visible clapboard! Date Sold 11/30/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 6 reference test photos. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1930s. Note that all of these reference set photos measure 8" x 10". All of them have a visible clapboard in the image that gives the details about the movie. What is really great about these is that they have the directors' names on the clapboard, and they are from great directors and great movies (including three from "I Am a Fugitive")! The studios would use these images for reference if they needed to shoot additional footage at a later time after the set was taken down. All of the stills have "RETURN TO TECHNICAL OFFICE" stamped on the back. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
NOTE THAT WE INITIALLY INCORRECTLY LISTED THESE AS BEING FROM THE 1950S, BUT THEY ARE ACTUALLY FROM THE 1930S (we have corrected this above)! Condition: very good.
