NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this advance one-sheet, and that was 6 years ago! Someone at MGM had the idea to publicize this Tarzan movie by sending the actual lion (King Tarz) out on a giant caged train all over the country in advance of the movie's release (note the "Coming Soon to Your Favorite Theatre" at the bottom of the poster). To promote this, they created this special one-sheet, which made the above clear, and also had great images of the lion in his cage, both close up and with a huge crowd in front of him! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has fold separation and some separation and spotty paper loss at the bottom crossfold (see our image). Several folds are backed with tape that slightly bleeds through to the front and some tape is visible at the bottom crossfold. After proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
