An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Cat's Paw (The Cat's-Paw), the 1934 Sam Taylor political crime comedy ("From the Saturday Evening Post story by Clarence Budington Kelland"; "Everything new but these [glasses]"; Lloyd is a missionary's son who returns from many years in China to his home town in California, and local crooked politicians set him up as an "in name only" Mayor, but he takes the job seriously and tries to reform the town; when they frame him with fake evidence of wrongdoings, he uses an ancient Chinese method, and puts all the crooks in a cellar, and tells them he will execute them all if they don't confess, and then he uses a Chinese illusion to "behead" two of them, whereupon they all confess; certainly, a very unusual comedy!) starring Harold Lloyd, Una Merkel, George Barbier, Nat Pendleton, Grace Bradley, Alan Dinehart and Grant Mitchell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. Someone used the card as a backing when they used a razor to cut something, and the razor cut the card across Barbier's neck and card fine scratch lines in a rectangle above that.
