An Original Vintage Theatrical Stage Play Sheet Music (measures 11" x 14"; 6 pages) (Learn More)

Mutt and Jeff, the 1911 stage play musical comedy based on the classic newspaper comic strip by Bud Fisher ("Bud Fisher's Original Creation"; "A Musical Comedy"; "Lyrics by E.S.S. Huntington"; "Music by Howard Webster"). Note that Mutt and Jeff (a pair of loser best friends, one tall and one short) was one of the most popular newspaper cartoon strips ever, beginning in 1908, and they were brought to the movies in 1911, and over the next 15 years, Bud Fisher created an astonishing 347 cartoons starring the duo. Note that Bud Fisher was one of the rare successful creators who was also an excellent business man, and he gained control of the newspaper strip, and when the first cartoons were adapted in 1911, he retained sole ownership of those as well, and his various enterprises made him an extremely wealthy man! If anyone knows more about this stage play or this sheet music, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info: Note that this sheet music from this stage play is for the song "Sweet Land of Dreams".
