Il Giardino dei Finzi-Contini (released in the U.S. in 1971 as "The Garden of the Finzi-Continis"), the 1970 Vittorio De Sica Italian/German pre-World War II (WWII) Jewish family relationship romantic melodrama ("The Finzi-Continis were rich, beautiful, and unapproachable. In 1938, their world began to change."; winner of the 1972 Academy Award for Best Foreign Film; about a very wealthy family in Italy in 1938 who are Jewish, and their world changes drastically) starring Dominique Sanda, Lino Capolicchio, Helmut Berger, Fabio Testi, and Romolo Valli

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had minor fold and border wear. There was writing on the back of the poster that bled through to the front in the lower right corner (starting above the "on" of "Continis" and extending down tot he bottom border). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer only slightly covered over the bleed-through at lower right (any restorer could perform additional touch up without re-backing the poster). Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster.
