Beauty and the Beast, the 1987 - 1990 television (TV) romantic fantasy crime melodrama series ("Above, below and beyond") starring Ron Perlman (as the Beast), Linda Hamilton, Roy Dotrice, Richard Partlow, and Jay Acovone. Note that the show was very successful, thanks largely to Ron Perlman's wonderful soulful performance (and wonderful makeup!).
