An Original Vintage Linenbacked Travel Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 40") (Learn More) TWA: Arizona, the 1950s/1960s (see below) TWA (Trans World Airlines) airplane airline aviation travel poster encouraging people to fly TWA to Arizona, and featuring art of a smiling cowgirl in western wear with the desert and mountains behind her by Austin Briggs! Note that we have seen multiple versions of TWA: Arizona posters with Austin Briggs art. Some have a silhouette of a jet aircraft and some have an image of a prop-driven Constellation aircraft. We think the one with the Constellation image dates from the 1950s, and the jet silhouette dates from the 1960s. Artist: Austin Briggs Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded and had some tiny tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the borders, and a few scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
