An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Barker, the 1928 George Fitzmaurice family relationship romantic circus carnival melodrama ("Father love and daring romance behind the scenes of a side show!"; "From play by Kenyon Nicholson") starring Milton Sills, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Dorothy Mackaill, Betty Compson (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Sylvia Ashton, and the "Hawaiian Trio" (non-Hawaiian actor Gladden James with two real Hawaiian non-actors). Note that the Hawaiian Trio was uncredited, but we have auctioned a still that shows them. If anyone knows more about them or the role they played in this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
