An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 10 3/4" x 16 3/4" [27 x 43 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

Planet Outlaws, the 1953 repackaging of "Buck Rogers", the 1940 Ford Beebe & Saul A. Goodkind science fiction (sci-fi) outer space action serial ("Atomic war comes from outer space!"; "Earth invaded in atomic war!"; "Based on the Buck Rogers Newspaper feature"; "Original cartoon strip by Dick Calkins and Phil Nolan") starring Buster Crabbe (billed as "Larry [Buster] Crabbe"), Jackie Moran, Constance Moore, Henry Brandon, Jack Mulhall, Anthony Warde, C. Montague Shaw, William Gould, Philson Ahn (brother of Philip Ahn; it must have been tough when both Phils were boys and their mom yelled out "Phil!"), Roy Barcroft, and Wheeler Oakman. Note that this is not a "re-release", because additional footage was filmed and added to portions of the original 1940 serial!

Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
