Victim, the 1961 (released in the U.S. in 1962) Basil Dearden English gay homosexual blackmail crime melodrama ("A scorching drama of the most un-talked-about subject of our time!"; "Produced by Michael Relph"; note that this was one of the very first mainstream movies to deal honestly and candidly with gay characters, and it led the way for many more mainstream movies on this subject) starring Dirk Bogarde, Sylvia Syms, Dennis Price, John Cairney, Peter McEnery, Anthony Nicholls, and Peter Copley
