Van Dyke historical French Revolution France biography romantic melodrama ("The crowning glory of the screen!"; "Based in Part on the Book by Stefan Zweig"; according to IMDB, F. Scott Fitzgerald was an uncredited writer for this film; obviously, the screenwriters took great liberties with actual history and this is very fictionalized) starring Norma Shearer (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Marie Antoinette), Tyrone Power Jr., John Barrymore (as King Louis XV), Robert Morley (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as King Louis XVI), Anita Louise, Joseph Schildkraut, Gladys George (as Mme. du Barry), Henry Stephenson, Scotty Beckett, and Cora Witherspoon

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this mini window card!

Condition: good to very good. A tiny bit was trimmed from the bottom blank border. The card had tears in the bottom left and some creases and scuffs scattered in the bottom area, with tears in the middle left, extending into the MGM logo area. There was a tear in the left border at the top of the image. Someone put tape on the back of the above defects and then performed restoration to them. The restoration is noticeable, but not very distracting (see our images).
