Universal Studios (also referred to as Universal Pictures or simply Universal) is an American film studio which was founded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle, Mark Dintenfass, Charles O. Baumann, Adam Kessel, Pat Powers, William Swanson, David Horsley, Robert H. Cochrane, and Jules Brulatour. It is the oldest surviving film studio in the United States, and the world's fourth oldest after Gaumont, Pathe and Nordisk Film. It is located in Universal City, California, and is one of Hollywood's "Big Six" studios. Universal also owns several film-related theme parks and resorts, including: Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Japan and more! Note that the items in this lot are mostly from the 1930s to the 1940s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Measurements: 7" x 10"Note that many of these heralds are ones we have either never auctioned before or only auctioned once or twice. The heralds were all printed in the U.S., but were mostly used in theaters in Egypt, so most have overprinting on the back for an Egyptian movie theater. Also, almost all of the heralds have tiny circular holes scattered in the image (sometimes very few, sometimes more). We strongly suggest you look closely at our images of the fronts and backs of these rare heralds before bidding on them, so you can see the location of the tiny circular holes or larger paper loss.
