An Original Vintage Folded One-Sheet Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

A Columbia Phantasy Cartoon, a 1939 stock poster for Columbia's line of short animated animation cartoon fantasies. Note the large blank area at the bottom of the poster for adding in the title of the cartoon the theater would play that day. By not imprinting a title, a frugal theater owner could reuse this poster over and over! But we don't know exactly what cartoons they were advertising or showing, and Columbia was not especially big on cartoons at this time (it does not help that the characters pictured on this poster are not recognizable as being known cartoon characters). If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was sent to a theater with a studio-issued snipe with the title of a short it was used for. That snipe was not used, but it will be sent together with the poster. It is rare to find snipes like these that were not attached to posters (either they are found on posters, or with many glue stains on the back).

Condition: good. The poster has creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges, significant separation at the top of the vertical foldline, and some other defects that can be clearly seen in our super-sized image.
