An Original Vintage Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More) Marion Davies' Tyrolean Night, the 1934 lavish party thrown by Marion Davies and William Randolph Hearst thrown for everybody who was "anybody" in the Hollywood community, one of many such parties Davies threw at this time. This one has a Tyrolean Knight theme, which meant that all the party guests had to rent Swiss outfits! Some of the people that attended included Jean Harlow, Howard Hughes, Gloria Swanson, Constance Bennett, Louis Wilson and many others! Naturally they hired professional photographers to take pictures of the guests and those were distributed to the press afterwards! Important Added Info: Note that this is one of three deluxe stills were were consigned. All three were glued to a black paper backing, likely an album page. We don't know what photographer took them, or whether they were printed anywhere, but they likely did appear in magazines or newspapers. Someone wrote "captions" at the top and bottom of each, which may well have been the caption that appeared when the photograph was used in a magazine or newspaper. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. AS noted above, the still was glued to an album page but is otherwise in nice condition.
