An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 26 3/4" x 37" [68 x 94 cm]) (Learn More)

Sombra Verde (released in the U.S. in 1956 as "Untouched"), the 1954 Roberto Gavaldon Mexican jungle thriller ("The story of jungle love!"; "A strange and tender love in a place that God forgot! Where men are violent and nature is cruel!"; about a scientist sent to the jungle to look for a plant that cortisone can be extracted from, but gets injured and falls in love with a girl from an isolated village instead; based on the novel by Ramuro Torres Septien) starring Ricardo Montalban, Victor Parra, Jorge Martinez de Hoyos (billed as "Jorge Martinez Hoyos"), Miguel Inclan, Jaime Fernandez, Roberto G. Rivera, Enriquet-a Reza, Ana Maria Villasenor, and Ariadna Welter (billed as "introducing Ariadna Welter"). Note that Ricardo Montalban was typecast throughout his career, and in his early days in Hollywood he always played the same sorts of roles (Indians or Mexicans). He made this movie in Mexico, where he could play a traditional leading man role!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie!

Condition: good to very good. There are various defects around the edges of the poster, and there is wear and some bits of paper loss along the foldlines and/or crossfolds. Some of the tears and/or defects described above are repaired with tape from the back. This Mexican poster is somewhat fragile. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is more fragile along the foldlines (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great).
