An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Hollywood on Parade, the 1932 - 1934 short series ("Movie snapshots of your favorite stars at play"; "A Paramount novelty") from Paramount Pictures that featured just about every star Paramount had under contract at the time including: Gary Cooper, the Marx Brothers, Marlene Dietrich, Maurice Chevalier, Jackie Cooper, and on and on. Paramount really had a remarkable group of stars at that time!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we previously auctioned three examples of a poster that was similar to this one, but it had one color only (and the last one was 20 years ago). THIS poster has more than one color, and it may predate the other posters (it would seem that Paramount surely made more than one example of this poster, because the series ran for three years, so this one may well be from the first year and the others may be from the second or third year. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
