A 1964 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, the classic 1957 John Sturges cowboy western starring Burt Lancaster (as Marshal Wyatt Earp), Kirk Douglas (as Doc Holliday), Rhonda Fleming, Jo Van Fleet, John Ireland (as Johnny Ringo), Lyle Bettger (as Ike Clanton), Dennis Hopper (as Billy Clanton), John Hudson (as Virgil Earp), DeForest Kelley (as Morgan Earp), Martin Milner (as Jimmy Earp), and Kenneth Tobey (as Bat Masterson). Note that Kelley and Milner, who played the other Earp brothers would go on to great fame on TV shows! Finally, there is no great evidence that any of these events ever occurred! They were written down many years after the fact, and were told by people who said they were there, but there is no corroboration for their stories. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines and some pinholes, creases, and tiny tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
