Crime and Punishment, the classic 1935 Josef von Sternberg psychological detective crime murder mystery melodrama ("Dostoievsky's [sic] immortal novel of human passions"; "The most powerful drama of modern times!"; "A superb drama of human emotions takes its place among the greatest!"; based on the classic novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky; about a brilliant but poor man who commits a murder, and he seems to get away with it, but there is a police inspector who suspects) starring Edward Arnold (as Inspector Porfiry), Peter Lorre (as Raskolnikov), Marian Marsh (as Sonya), Tala Birell, Robert Allen, Douglass Dumbrille, and Stella Campbell (billed as "Mrs. Patrick Campbell", as the creepy pawnbroker). Note that the name Stella Campbell might not be familiar to you, but in 1914, George Bernard Shaw wrote the play "Pygmalion" specifically with her in mind, and she played the lead in the first stage production, even though she was 49 at the time. She was a Hollywood legend for her wildly inappropriate remarks, often directed at famous and important people in public!

Important Added Info: Note that the card has slightly darkened throughout and that there is a tiny tear in the upper right blank border and another in the upper left blank border, but otherwise the card is in really nice condition.

Condition: very good.
