An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card #8 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) A Gathering of Eagles, the 1963 Delbert Mann military United States Air Force airplane aviation pilot romantic melodrama ("The Red Phone, His mistress... Her rival... Hurling him to the edge of space... Freezing her love on the edge of time!"; "The Red Phone...Most demanding mistress a man ever obeyed...roughest rival a woman ever fought...It's ring can send him to the edge of space...freeze her love on the edge of time!") starring Rock Hudson, Rod Taylor, Mary Peach, Barry Sullivan, Henry Silva, Robert Lansing, Kevin McCarthy, Richard Anderson, Leora Dana, and Leif Erickson. Note that a major portion of the plot of this movie revolved around the "Red Phone", a hotline number in the White House where the President could call important military personnel in the case of an emergency. Is there such a phone in real life? Has it ever been used? NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Rod Taylor! Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who regularly attended the Chiller collectible show. This signed item (and the others offered from this collector) were purchased at a Chiller convention over the years. In some cases, he had them signed by the celebrity when they appeared in person at the show, and in other cases, he purchased them from Kevin Clement, who runs the Chiller shows, and in all cases, he (and we) believe this signature is authentic. Condition: very good to fine. Note that the card has a very minor printing defect, which is a series of faint light pink and blue lines down the left edge of the left blank border. This was a very minor printing defect that occurred during the printing of these cards, and it is found on many 1950s and early 1960s lobby cards, and few collectors consider it much of a defect at all, because it is in the left edge of the blank border, has no effect on the image, and would likely be on all examples of this lobby card. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition and has never had any sort of restoration. Learn More about condition grades
