An Unfolded Hand Painted Music Poster (measures 14" x 20 1/4" [36 x 51 cm]) (Learn More)

The Lost and Found was a Texas psychedelic band from 1966 to 1968. Band mates included: George Banks, Pete Black, James Harrell, Steve Bishop, and Jimmy Frost. The band briefly toured as The Misfits, though accounts differ as to whether or not the name change had to do with an LSD drug bust (the first LSD band bust in the state of Texas; however charges had to be dropped, because at the time, LSD was still legal!). Note that The Lost and Found were on International Artists, the same record label as The Thirteenth Floor Elevator. IA claimed they owed the label money after they toured in the summer of 1968, and the band promptly dissolved! Some of their hits include: Everybody's Here, Zig Zag Blues, and Forever Lasting Plastic Swords
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand painted poster, and it is NOT printed! It is one of 11 hand painted posters that were done for this band when they played a series of shows in late 1966 and early 1967. We are auctioning each of the 11 posters in a separate auction, and each is a one of a kind hand painted original! Also note that this poster, which is for a show this band did at the White Hat Club on the U.S.S. Aludra, has been personally autographed (signed) by the artist, but we can't decipher that person's name. If anyone knows who this artist is, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good to very good. This poster was hand created, but then the artist/designer taped and stapled a picture of the actual band to the front of the poster (see our image). The tape has yellowed and the piece at the top has separated.
