An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Danish Movie Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 33 1/2" [62 x 85 cm]) (Learn More) Smultronstallet (released in the U.S. in 1959 as "Ingmar Bergman's Wild Strawberries"), the classic 1957 Ingmar Bergman Swedish reflections-on-the-meaning-of-life family relationship melodrama (about a successful elderly doctor and his troubled relationship with his adult son, who is also a doctor, and his extended family, and he looks back over his long life, and he has disturbing dreams about his first romance and about his impending death) starring Victor Sjostrom, Bibi Andersson, Gunnar Bjornstrand, Ingrid Thulin, Folke Sundquist, Bjorn Bjelvenstam, Naima Wifstrand, and Jullen Kindahl. Note that Sjostrom was a major Swedish director starting in 1912 and in 1920 was hired by MGM where he had great success. He mostly quit directing with the advent of sound, but he became a mentor to Ingmar Bergman, and he took the lead role in this movie, and was incredible in it! Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair to good. There are MANY pairs of staple holes throughout the poster with areas of tattering and paper loss around the edges from rough removal.
