A 1974 Re-Release Theatrical Unfolded Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" [51 x 73 cm]) (Learn More) Bullitt, the classic 1968 Peter Yates San Francisco California crime car chase action thriller ("The word 'cop' isn't written all over him - something more puzzling is."; "There are bad cops and there are good cops - and then there's Bullitt."; "Bullitt comes to this theatre soon. That ought to shake up the place pretty good. Not many freaky cops like Bullitt around. You look at the Italian shoes and the turtleneck and you have to wonder. You listen to the official beefs about 'personal misconduct,' 'disruptive influence,' you figure he's got to be up for trade. But when some rare Chicago blood starts spilling in San Francisco, they give Bullitt the mop. They weren't exactly doing him a favor. But they've done a great big one for you."; "Detective Lt. Frank Bullitt - some other kind of cop. Pity the guy he works for."; "Based on the novel 'Mute Witness' by Robert L. Pike"; about a detective who drives a 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback while pursuing professional hitmen who murdered the wrong guy and let's not forget the really cool chase scenes!) starring Steve McQueen (in the title role "as Bullitt"), Robert Vaughn, Jacqueline Bisset, Don Gordon, Robert Duvall, Simon Oakland, and Norman Fell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was re-released in 1974 in Japan, the posters were printed in two versions, one on glossy paper and one on matte paper (the same situation existed in the U.S. around a decade earlier, with posters like Goldfinger). We imagine this is because this was the exact time when they were transitioning from matte paper to glossy paper. We are currently auctioning one of each version, in two separate auctions. Also note that this is one of only two posters we have seen that pictures the Ford Mustang (at the lower left of the poster)! Also note that this poster looks exactly like the original 1968 release Japanese poster, and is sometimes mistakenly sold as being original. The way to tell the difference is that this poster has the circular Warner Bros. logo, whereas the original has the Warner/Seven Arts logo. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. There are a few minor creases scattered in the poster. Learn More about condition grades
