Love, Live and Laugh, the 1929 William K. Howard World War I (WWI) musical romantic love triangle melodrama ("an all talking movietone drama"; "Story by Le Roy Clemens and John B. Hymer"; "Songs and lyrics by Wolfe Gilbert and Abel Baer"; about an Italian immigrant in New York City just before World War I; he falls in love with a beautiful girl, but then returns to Italy when his father gets sick, and he ends up fighting for Italy and is blinded; after the war, he returns to New York, but the girl thought he was dead and married someone else; a doctor operates on him, and he can see again, and the girl is ready to tell her husband that she is leaving him, but he is noble and moves away!) starring George Jessel (major Jewish actor/singer of the 1920s who starred in The Jazz Singer on Broadway, but who was passed over for the lead role in the movie version, which made Al Jolson a movie superstar), Lila Lee, David Rollins, Henry Kalker, Kenneth MacKenna, and John Loder. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
