An Autographed 3" x 5" [8 x 13 cm] Index Card (Learn More) Ring Lardner Jr. was a journalist and screenwriter from the 1940s to the 1970s. A member of the "Hollywood Ten", he was blacklisted by the Hollywood film studios during the late 1940s and 1950s after his appearance as an "unfriendly" witness before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) leading to Lardner being found guilty of contempt of Congress. He passed away in 2000 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: This index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Ring Lardner Jr.! The index card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
