An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Vertical British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More)

Nina's Prayer (also released as "Nina's Evening Prayer"), the 1912 English silent family religious melodrama short ("'Make me good, - like my daddy.'"; about a drunkard who reforms after overhearing his daughter's prayer). Note that there is conflicting information about this film. Some sources say that the main title was "Nina's Evening Prayer" and some say it was "Nina's Prayer" (the only poster that we have seen has the 2nd). Also, some sources say that Percy Stow directed the film and some say it was Wilfred Noy. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time, but it has been stored flat, and because it is somewhat fragile we are not refolding it and it will be sent rolled in a tube. Also note that few people know that in the early days of British quads, they were originally in a vertical format (but they measured 30" x 40", just as they continue to do throughout the years). This is because so few of them survive, almost surely because of the massive paper shortages in England during World War II! At some point in the 1950s, they changed orientation to be horizontal, and they have remained that way to the present day. Finally note that this is an extremely rare pre-World War II English poster! Virtually no English posters survive from the 1940s or earlier, because during World War II there were many paper shortages resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters!

Condition: very good. There are tears and tiny paper loss in the left blank border, but only blank white paper is affected. There are a few tiny stains in the bottom of the bottom blank border. Otherwise the poster has survived in surprisingly nice condition considering it is 111 years old!
