A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 31 1/4" x 46 3/4" [79 x 119 cm]) (Learn More)

Bieres Laubenheimer (literally translates to "Laubenheimer Beers"), the circa 1915 French liquor alcohol advertising poster promoting Laubenheimer beer, and featuring art of King Henry IV holding a stein of beer while on a white horse by Georges Ripart. Note that finding the exact date of this poster is difficult because research indicates it is likely between 1900 to 1925. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Note that this poster ships in a very long tube (at least 33" long, but possibly 50" long or more). Therefore the shipping for this poster will be more than that for a poster that ships in a tube 32" or shorter, and possibly much more. Please bear this added shipping expense in mind before bidding on this poster. You can tell how long of a tube this poster needs to ship in by looking at the shorter dimension of its length and width and then adding 4" to that (so a 47" x 63" poster will need to ship in a 51" long tube).

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It had darkened slightly in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
