An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Maureen O'Hara was an Irish actress from the 1930s to the 2000s. Her first major success was in 1939's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and she was a major star of the 1940s (known for her long association with John Ford and John Wayne), and she aged wonderfully, being able to play the virginal sister in The Quiet Man in 1952! In 1948 she opened a store in Los Angeles called "Maureen O'Hara Seasonal Clothes", where she used her celebrity to help her gain sales, but she continued acting into the 1960s, and retired in 1971. She was lured out of retirement for a wonderful performance in Only the Lonely in 1991, but she then returned to her retirement. Some of her other movies include: How Green Was My Valley, Rio Grande, Miracle on 34th Street, Parent Trap, and Jamaica Inn. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 95. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Maureen O'Hara! Note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from PSA/DNA Authentication Services. Apparently, at this time, someone at PSA/DNA who did not understand movie stills had the wonderful idea of putting a sticker from their company in the lower left of the FRONT of the still (see our image)! They also provided a CoA card with the same number that the sticker has. Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia collector and dealer from the 1970s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items. Both we and our consignor feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity (unless noted above). As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. Condition: good to very good. Someone wrote "Maureen O'Hara" in the bottom border in pen, and someone else put a thin strip of white tape over it.
