The Girl From Woolworth's, the 1929 William Beaudine rags-to-riches romantic musical comedy (about a pretty girl who works in the music department at Woolworth's in New York City, and she is required to sing while doing her job, and she catches the eye of a Broadway producer and becomes a musical comedy star on Broadway) starring Alice White, Charles Delaney, Rita Flynn, Wheeler Oakman, and Bert Moorhouse. Note that Woolworth's was the original "5 & 10" store ("the five and dime"), meaning that everything in the store was priced at 5 cents and 10 cents, and it became synonymous with something being inexpensive. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
