Note that Tony Curtis, in his autobiography, said that the producers of the movie said that he was "too good looking" to portray the "lowlife bigot" in the movie. So Curtis had the studio department create a false nose for him that would "make him look uglier"! Also, note that there is conflicting information about Robert Mitchum being first offered this role and turning it down. Some have said that it was due to prejudice on his part, but it seems far more likely that it was because he was acquainted with the prison system in the south at this time, and he knew that they would never chain a white man and a black man together, so he felt the movie's key plot twist was ludicrous, which is a shame, because he would have surely been wonderful in this part! The poster is very brittle and has much separation. The lower two portions of the poster have completely separated. The remaining 3/4 of the poster have wear and small bits of paper loss along the foldlines and/or crossfolds.
