(Learn More) Chubby Checker (born Ernest Evans) is a singer and songwriter from the 1960s to the present. His is probably best known for his 1960 cover of Hank Ballard's "The Twist". Some of his other works include: Pony Time, Limbo Rock, Peppermint Twist, Lovely Lovely, and Slow Twisting. He also appeared in 1960s teen movies, including: Teenage Millionaire, Twist Around the Clock, and Don't Knock the Twist. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 79! Important Added Info: This publicity photo has been personally autographed (signed) by Chubby Checker (it also has a facsimile signature within the printing)! Our consignor is a dealer who has acquired many autographed items over many decades. He enjoys finding an item with a good image of that star to "pair" it with, so that the owner can frame the signed item together with the item with the good image. Included with the signed item is a 1962 "Don't Knock the Twist" record album. The items could be matted together to create a cool display!
