An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Audrey Meadows was an actress from the 1950s to the 1990s. Publicity on her in the 1940s said that she was born and brought up in Wuchang, China, and spoke no English until she returned to the U.S. as a young girl (that was slightly stretching the truth, because she was born in the U.S., but her parents moved to China soon after, and they left China when the Communists took over)! She is best remembered as Alice Kramden from TV's "The Honeymooners". Some of her movies include: Rosie, Take Her She's Mine, and That Touch of Mink. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 73. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Audrey Meadows! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
