Pabst (Georg Wilhelm Pabst) German World War I (WWI) military anti-war melodrama (very similar to the classic "All Quiet on the Western Front" made the same year, and since this is a German movie, the movie focuses on German soldiers at the front in the closing days of the war, and the movie shows the futility of war just as well as the American movie) starring Fritz Kampers, Gustav Diessl, Jackie Monnier, Hanna Hoessrich, and Hans-Joachim Moebis. It is interesting that this movie was made in Germany in 1930, because just a few short years later, when Hitler seized power, there is no way that this movie could have been released there.
