Zanuck; later turned into the hit Broadway musical and movie, "The King and I") starring Irene Dunne (in the title role as Anna), Rex Harrison (in the title role as the King of Siam; his first American role, in yellowface!), Linda Darnell, Lee J. Cobb, Gale Sondergaard (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Mikhail Rasumny, Dennis Hoey, Tito Renaldo, Richard Lyon, and Laurette Luez. Note that Darnell's character is burned at the stake for leaving the king. Tragically, Darnell herself would die in a house fire 19 years later. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Saul Tepper Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some creases and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of several folds, with a few tears running into the folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was mounted onto thin linen with no excess, and only slight restoration to the above defects.
