An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Green Light, the 1937 Frank Borzage romantic medical doctor hospital melodrama ("The story that changed the lives of a million lovers!"; based on the novel by Lloyd C. Douglas; about a young doctor who takes the fall for the mistake of an elder doctor) starring Errol Flynn, Anita Louise, Margaret Lindsay, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Walter Abel, and Henry O'Neill. Note that Warner Bros. was afraid of the subject matter of this movie, and given that Flynn was a great lover, they "sold" the movie with advertising that showed Flynn between pretty Anita Louise and pretty Margaret Lindsay, with the tagline "The story that changed the lives of a million lovers!", trying to make audiences think they were going to see a movie based on a romantic love triangle! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. card has darkened slightly (typical of Warner Bros. linen cards of this period), but the card is not at all fragile; the card has water stains in the top left corner and down the left blank border (the stains left light brown marks in those areas); there were many tiny areas of paper loss down the bottom half of the right blank border; there was a pinhole in each corner. A long time ago someone took masking tape and put it on the back of all four of the borders; This card is in much better condition than the above makes it sound! Its defects are almost completely in the blank borders (aside from the darkening, that is a given in Warner Bros. linen cards). The image area is in great condition. Certainly one could have the water stains restored and the tape removed from the back, if one wanted to, but I would think most collectors would be happy to display this card just as it is!
