What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had two horizontal folds and two evenly spaced vertical folds, and it had minor wear on the folds. It had some creases and faint stains around the edges. Someone wrote the English language title of the movie in the left of the bottom border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. Many years ago, the poster was backed onto a thin linen with no excess. At some point, someone likely framed the poster, and it acquired some light staining scattered on the back of the poster, but more so down the right 2" of the linen, which somewhat bled through to the front in that area (see our image).
