Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few faint smudges and scuffs in the image, and pinholes, smudges, and faint stains in the borders, with creases and tears down the right edge of the poster, slightly extending into the background area in the upper image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting.
