Note that there was an earlier serial called "Batman", made by Columbia in 1943, and this was the second Batman movie ever made! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Glenn Cravath Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had many creases, tears, and small areas of paper loss scattered on all the foldlines, with pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
