An Autographed Letter (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]; 1 page) (Learn More) Mack Sennett was a famous Canadian producer, director, writer, and actor who made many silent slapstick comedies (including those starring the famous Keystone Kops) during the 1910s and continued making movies until 1935, for Triangle, Pathe, and Paramount. Many of the great stars of the 1930s got their start in Mack Sennett comedies. He passed away in 1960 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Mack Sennett! It is a letter from Mr. Sennett on stationery for the Mabel Normand Feature Film Co. (Management: Mack Sennett), and it was sent to a theater owner, telling him that Miss Normand will now only appear in feature films, four of them a year (see our image). Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer, and while he does not have a "certificate of authenticity", we are certain the letter and the autograph are authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
