Four Walls, the 1928 William Nigh silent romantic love triangle organized crime melodrama (Gilbert plays Benny Horowitz, a Jewish mobster who kills another mobster in self defense and is sent to jail for manslaughter; after he is let out, he meets the plain young woman who helped care for his mother while he was in jail, and he vows to "go straight", and has a romance with the plain woman, but his sleazy former girlfriend, played by Joan Crawford, and a former gang member want to drag him back into his old life) starring John Gilbert, Joan Crawford, Vera Gordon, Carmel Myers, Robert Emmett O'Connor, and Louis Natheaux. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
