An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 3/4" x 20 1/4") (Learn More) The Ape Man, the 1943 William Beaudine science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller (based on the story by Karl Brown) starring Bela Lugosi (in the title role as the monster, Dr. James Brewster), Louise Currie, Wallace Ford, Henry Hall, Minerva Urecal, and Emil Van Horn (as the gorilla). Note that Ray 'Crash' Corrigan and Charles Gemora were two actors who played lots of gorillas in movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Emil Van Horn and Jack Leonard each played around a dozen gorillas, and interestingly, that was all they did (no doubt all four of them owned a gorilla suit!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this Belgian poster has had a small amount of its top blank border trimmed and now measures 14 3/4" x 20 1/4". Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
