An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Banjo On My Knee, the 1936 John Cromwell romantic riverboat musical rich-man-poor-girl marriage comedy ("He's not a drinking man, but what a thirst he has for adventure!"; "Based on a novel by Harry Hamilton"; Joel McCrea is rich Walter Brennan's son, and Brennan wants a grandson really bad, but McCrea marries way beneath him with "land girl" Stanwyck, but worse yet, they can't seem to consummate their marriage) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Joel McCrea, Helen Westley, Buddy Ebsen (in his fourth movie role!), Walter Brennan, Walter Catlett, Tony Martin (billed as "Anthony Martin"), Katherine DeMille, and Victor Kilian. Note that this is a full musical, and Stanwyck sings and dance for perhaps the only time in her career! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this three-sheet, which was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap, was printed by a regional printing company, called the "Triangle Poster Printing Co." of Atlanta, Georgia. They would print text posters like these for theaters that did not have a studio-issued poster for a movie they were showing, and needed one in a hurry. Condition: fair. The theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). There are many creases, several tears, and some areas of tiny paper loss along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded.
