Date Sold 12/20/2018 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical International Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (released in the U.S. in 1979 as "The Seven Brothers Meet Dracula"), the 1974 Roy Ward Baker & Cheh Chang English/Hong Kong Hammer kung fu martial arts vampire horror thriller ("Black Belt vs. Black Magic!"; "You haven't seen kung fu until you've seen the 7 brothers and 1 sister take Dracula"; "It's dynamite!"; "Deadly horrors! Dragon Thrills! The First Kung Fu Horror Spectacular!"; "Hammer Horror! Dragon Thrills! Shaw Spectacle!") starring Peter Cushing, Julie Ege, David Chiang, Robin Stewart, Szu Shih, John Forbes-Robertson, Robert Hanna, and Shen Chan. Note that Warner Bros. planned to release this film in the U.S. in 1974, but then decided to shelve it. However, there are 1974 Warner Bros. items created for this movie (mainly early stills and items for use in non-U.S. countries; under the title "The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires"). Warner Bros. sold the United States distribution rights to Dynamite Entertainment, and they finally released it domestically in 1979 as "The Seven Brothers Meet Dracula". Important Added Info: Note that this a very rare complete set of lobby cards for this movie (we have never auctioned a complete set of cards for this title in all of our years of auctioning or ANY lobby cards from the U.S. for this movie!) Note also that these are "international" style lobby cards (meaning they were printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Each has several pinholes around the edges and/or light scuff marks and smudges, typical of vintage lobby cards that were likely displayed at a theater.
