Date Sold 5/9/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Folded One-Sheet Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) the 1940s double-bill release ("Two daring pictures - forbidden secrets of the virgin jungle!"; "See for the first time - these sexational thrills") of The Beast of Borneo, the 1934 Harry Garson romantic love triangle tropical island horror thriller ("Weirdest triangle ever filmed"; about a mad scientist who travels to Borneo with a pretty female assistant, and he has a theory about evolution that requires he extracts "gorilla glands" from orangutans, and a local man is injected, and he becomes a half-man/half-ape!) starring John Preston, Mae Stuart, Eugene Sigaloff, Val Durand, Doris Brook, and "Joe" (as "Jo-Jo the Urangutan"). Note that this movie was re-released in 1944 by Toddy Pictures, and the movie paper for that release has a lot of descriptive taglines. However, we found a website claiming that the Toddy re-release was a re-edited version of the movie, so it would be nice to know if that is correct! AND Voodoo Devil Drums, the 1944 Toddy Pictures black African American exploitation horror short ("SEE - The high priest of voodoo! SEE - Zombies - walking dead men! SEE - The virgin dance of voodoo!"; "Strange secrets never before revealed!"; "What is a zombie?"; "She was doomed to die!"; "See for the first time-- The Virgin Dance of Death! The Alter of Skulls! The Walking Dead!") narrated by Frank Nelson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this Toddy Pictures double-bill is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from it until we were consigned this one-sheet! Condition: fair to good. The poster has a large jagged tear to the left of the lower vertical foldline (almost to the bottom crossfold). It has deterioration and paper loss in and above the word "DRUMS" at lower right and in the portions of the horizontal fold at lower left (see our image). There is fold edge separation at right. After proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
