Two women are after Blackie... with a gun!"; "Blackie's up to some new tricks with women... magic... and murder!"; "Blackie waves a magic wand... and a woman vanishes... a murderer appears!") starring Chester Morris (in the title role as Boston Blackie), Trudy Marshall, Constance Dowling, Richard Lane, George E. Stone, and Frank Sully. Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle.
