An Original Vintage 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More) Dolores Costello (also known as Dolores Costello Barrymore) was an actress from the 1900s to the 1940s. Some of her movies include: The Magnificent Ambersons, Old San Francisco, Little Lord Fauntleroy, and the Show of Shows. She was the daughter of Maurice Costello, an early film star, and she co-starred with and was married to actor John Barrymore (who said when he first saw her, "I have just seen the most beautiful woman in the world. I shall not rest or eat until I see her again."). Her son was John Barrymore, Jr. (John Drew Barrymore) and her granddaughter is Drew Barrymore. AND Helene Costello was born in 1906 and was a child star from 1909 to 1916, at which point she "retired", and then in 1926, she was selected as one of the "Wampas Baby Stars" (even though she had already had a major career!), and then she continued acting until 1936, and then she retired again, this time permanently! She is best known for her work in Lights of New York and In Old Kentucky as adult roles, and for her approximately 70 roles as a child actress. Condition: very good. The still was used in a newspaper or magazine and there are a few tiny paint enhancements within the image, so the image would show better in the printed article, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. There are a few light creases scattered around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
