Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Chicago White Sox are an American professional baseball team which was founded in 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. They compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as part of the American League (AL) Central division. The White Sox won the 1906 World Series with a defense-oriented team dubbed "the Hitless Wonders", and the 1917 World Series led by Eddie Cicotte, Eddie Collins, and Shoeless Joe Jackson. The 1919 World Series was marred by the Black Sox Scandal, in which several members of the White Sox were accused of conspiring with gamblers to fix games. In response, the players were banned from Major League Baseball for life. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fair. As noted above, most of the writing at the bottom of the glass slide has deteriorated. There is orange tape on the top and right of the slide and white tape on the bottom.
