An Original Vintage Theatrical Monacan Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 18 1/4" x 23 1/2" [46 x 60 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) La Selva De Fuego (literally translates to "The Jungle of Fire"), the 1945 Fernando de Fuentes Mexican romantic adventure melodrama (about a woman causing trouble when lost in the jungle with a group of men) starring Dolores del Rio, Arturo de Cordova, Miguel Inclan, Luis Beristain, and Gilberto Gonzalez. Artist: Albert Jorio Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this Monacan pressbook before! Note that this Monacan pressbook was printed on a single large sheet (both sides) that, when folded, formed an 8 page pressbook. The example here was stored completely unfolded, so we are auctioning it that way and it will be sent rolled in a tube. Also, note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this Monacan pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this Monacan pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook has creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges but there are a few inches of separation at the bottom of the vertical foldline (see our image).
